When we’re designing a custom iron fence or railing, we offer customers the option to add decorative elements made from cast iron to an otherwise wrought iron structure. Those pieces are then welded onto the pickets of the railing. This process can save on costs, since producing intricate decorative designs in wrought iron through hand forging can get expensive.

5. Post Caps

Just like the specs above, you want more than text on a web page about the warranty.  While downloading a warranty is a good start (you can find and download ours here), you also want to be able to ask and get good answers on how that warranty is applied.  You should be able to talk to someone at the company and ask how warranty claims are handled and what is involved.  Just seeing a stated warranty period is not enough to fall back on.  Be wary of certain things that can void your warranty (like installing by salt water) or stipulations on what’s covered and what is not (especially on ‘Lifetime’ warranties).

4. Adjustable Wheels Some sliding door wheels are designed with adjustability features, allowing for height modifications to ensure optimal alignment with tracks. This is crucial for maintaining a smooth operation over time.

Finally, the gate is a crucial part of any fence. Without one, there is obviously no way to access the pool area you’ve secured. A wrought iron pool gate will be 4 to 5 feet wide and made to match the height of its surrounding fence. To maintain uniformity, iron gates feature the same design as the fence’s panels with many of the same dimensions: 1-inch square railings, pickets sized according to the fence, and a 4-inch spacing.
